01 File reading
Opens the STEP, unfolds the sheet and measures it automatically
The 3D file is turned into a flat pattern with its bend lines, which gives the cut length, pierces, bends and weight. Rotate the part with your mouse.

02 Processes
Every process, with its own calculation
Not a price per kilo. Each machine calculates with its own technology: speeds by material and thickness, pierces, consumables, cycles and setup.

Real nesting on the sheet and cutting time calculated with your machine's accelerations, not meters multiplied by a rate.

Tube and profile laser
The tube's STEP file gives the profile, wall thickness, length, holes and miters. Material is calculated by weight and machine time per operation.

CNC press brake bending
Move the sliders: this is the Ferranta engine's calculation with its factory settings. Each shop enters its own times and hourly rate.

Frequently asked questions
Is Ferranta the same as presupuestoslaser.com?
It's the next step in its evolution. We started out quoting laser cutting and the product grew to cover the complete management of the shop, so the old name became too narrow. If you're already a customer, nothing changes: your account, your data and your login stay the same.
Do I have to sign up for every module?
No. You can start with quoting alone and turn on production, warehouse, quality, HR or accounting when you need them. Your data is already in the system, so activating a module never means migrating anything.
Which processes can it quote?
Sheet and tube laser cutting, plasma, oxy-fuel cutting, CNC milling, press brake bending, rolling, assembly welding, surface finishing (painting, shot blasting, hot-dip galvanizing, zinc plating, anodizing) and shop operations such as tapping, countersinking or PEM nuts.
Which files can I upload?
DXF, DWG, STEP/STP, IGES, PDF, SVG, EPS and AI. From a STEP file it extracts the sheet metal flat pattern, the bends or the tube profile; from a PDF drawing, AI reads the dimensions. You can also draw the part in the editor or start from a photo of a sketch.
Does it use artificial intelligence to calculate the price?
No. AI is only used to read drawings, sketches and photos. The price comes from calculations based on your machine, your material and your costs, which is why it is reproducible: the same drawing always gives the same price.
Will it help me pass an ISO 9001 audit?
It helps a lot: non-conformities with cause and cost, document control with versioning, batch traceability from supplier to customer, 3.1 material certificates and quarantine zones that take blocked material out of stock.
Does it handle full accounting or just invoicing?
Full accounting: journal, general ledger, balance sheets, VAT and Spanish tax forms (AEAT), treasury, banks with Norma 43, SEPA direct debits, overdue receivables, fixed assets and year-end closing. Invoicing is Veri*Factu compliant.
Can I keep using my current ERP?
Yes. There are connectors for Sage 200, Holded, Odoo and Billin. Many shops start by quoting in Ferranta and sending orders to their ERP, then move everything else over whenever they're ready.
Where is my data stored?
In the cloud, with nothing to install on your computers. Each company's data is kept separate from everyone else's, and permissions are granted per module and per user.
